April Lund has been knocked to the bottom, but she has survived -- abuse, addiction, personal loss, and most recently a battle with breast implant illness. She shares details of her story along with her faith in God, which helped her get back on her feet -- and back on track -- every time.

It all came crashing down one morning in April 2015, when April Lund was 32. “I was 65 pounds heavier. My body fat percentage was 44.8 percent,” she recalls. “I wanted to get back into shape. Running had always been my passion, but I thought it would be a whole lot more fun if my friends ran with me. Bismark Personal Trainer Nominated for National Award
A recovering alcoholic, April Lund was inspired by her future husband and joining Gold's Gym to clean up her lifestyle. Soon, she shed half her body weight and set a goal to run in a half marathon, which after overcoming self doubt to place second in her first go 'round, upped the goal ante to winning the marathon. In 2016, she won the Bismark Half Marathon, improving her time by a full minute over the previous year.
